We had a good 4 hour drive down to Cornwall last Saturday.

Before we did anything we went to Tesco's to stock up on our Bacardi and Gin essential food items.
.
The supermarket was fairly busy and a bit of a squash, so when we got to the checkout, I spied one of those photo-booths.

What happens when you tell a bored six year old boy

(who is in posession of his holiday spending money that dad has given him only hours before to spend on "whatever he likes" and who is also fed up with shopping and you need to get him out from under your feet)

to go and sit in the photo booth and *PRETEND* he's having his photo taken?

Yup, me too!

So me and boy*jelly are escaping for a week on Saturday.

From now until then I shall be trying to get everything done and ready!

Keep your finger's crossed for sunny weather, because it will be the second week of Wimbledon AND the same week as Glastonbury.

Hmmm.

Maybe I'd better pack those wellies after all ...

Who's The Daddy?

I saw this idea on Beki's blog ages ago and completely, totally and

un-ashamedly stole it for a Father's day present for Mr Jelly.

I've been dying to show the pictures off to you, but of course I couldn't because, although he says he never reads my blog, I'm sure Mr Jelly takes a sneeky peek now and then ...

and then dragged took boy*jelly to his school on a Saturday a secret location where there are some dry-stone-wall buildings to use.

Before Boys There Was Shopping

Yesterday I told you about going to see "The Boys", but me and Granny*jelly did get to Cardiff quite early, and are what else are you supposed to do when surrounded by shops but go shopping?!

Camper Van & Russian Doll Bunting

.

I've been experimenting with printing onto cotton fabric for a long time now and have applied the technique to our newest jb*jb products.

.

First to show you is the Russian Doll bunting.

I spent a lot of time drawing her face on the computer, and although it's ever-so-slightly too big on this prototype version, I think it looks great!

She wears a red polka-dot head scarf with funky paisley fabric for her body.

.

My next project was to make a camper-van bunting, and I'm really pleased with how this one has turned out!

It has a large red brad for the logo, and again, most of the design has been printed onto fabric, and I've used plain red fabric for the body.

I was considering allowing customers to choose from several colours and that way they can design their own "rainbow" version of each of the buntings if they want ... what do you think?

You could replace the cowboy hat with a tiara for the girl version, but we must stress, we have not tested the alternative female model.
